About Darren: Darren began his trade after high school enrolling in a sign painting apprenticeship which was a 4 year program, learning to hand letter before computers took over the trade. He focused on mainly sign painting for the first ten years working in various shops around Australia. He then bought his first airbrush and began to practice after hours and then began producing a lot of airbrush signage.
After a few more years he started to get more into the custom paint scene which now is 90% of what he does. In 2007 Darren got his break and the opportunity to come to the states and work after years of traveling back and forth. Razor custom paint in Virginia sponsored him to come over and work for them. Over the three years he learned a great deal with them. He recently moved to Austin, Texas to start his own business called “Gasoline Art” which is now keeping him busy in getting it up and running.
